Lucasfilm pulls PhoneSaber from the iTunes store

Knowing that George Lucas is perhaps the only person more controlling of his product licensing than Apple’s Steve Jobs, I suppose this news should not exactly come as a shock to anyone, but according to TheMacBox (creators of the wildly popular (and free) PhoneSaber lightsaber emulator), THQ Wireless (who owns the rights for Star Wars apps on mobile devices) has asked that PhoneSaber be removed from the iTunes store.

MIKE BARON Interview

From January 2006 A real pleasure talking to the man who co-created Nexus with Steve Rude, no to mention The Badger, the post crisis Wally West-Flash stories for DC,and over 5 years of The Punisher for Marvel. Mike indulges my walk with him down memory lane, plus talks about The Night Club from Image and The Hook from Big Head Press.

Are we 'A-Team' Yet?

Cubescowl_3
Director John Singleton wants to take on the Reagan-era show “A-Team” and update it, making the fugitive commando team all veterans of the war in Iraq. The grizzled Bruce Willis is in mind for the role of Col. Hannibal Smith (portrayed by George Peppard in the old NBC series) while Woody Harrelson would be wingnut pilot “Howlin’ Mad” Murdock (played by scene-stealer Dwight Shultz in the original). And what about the role of the scowling Sgt. Bosco “B.A.” Baracus, made famous by the gold-laden Mr. T?
Ice Cube talks 'A-Team' | Hero Complex | Los Angeles Times

It does sound cool but for some reason I'm afraid they would make it like the new Ben Stiller war movie "Tropic Thunder"

Spreading Funkyness » Posty

There are many microblogging services out there. Sometimes you feel you have a “message” to send or a question to ask. If you subscribed many services, one of the first questions arising is: where do I post this? Twitter? Jaiku? Pownce? Tumblr? all of them? For each service usually you have to: open the browser, login, write message, click post. Although some cut and paste can save you some time, the task can get boring soon. Posty will automatically deliver your message to the services you selected.Currently supported networks are: Twitter, Jaiku, Pownce, Tumblr, Friendfeed and the recently added Identi.ca. Larry Storch Reads Philip Roth's 'Epstein'

'Epstein' is a short story that appeared in author Philip Roth's first published book,'Goodbye, Columbus' in 1959. Like the title novella and other short stories in the book, it's theme relates to the concerns of urban American Jews - - specifically in this story, a middle-aged overbearing father and husband with demons of his own.

From the LP 'Larry Storch Reads Philip Roth's Epstein'(original Prestige/Lively Arts release circa 1962, this Prestige LP reissue circa 1969),

Woz on the price is right

Woz apparently got himself into the front row at a taping of “Price is Right.” Sad stuff. Much love to William for passing along a link to the original version on Macenstein.
