WATER MILL, N.Y. — Archeologists discovered an ancient American Indian skull while surveying property for a Long Island housing development.The skull, which was unearthed Wednesday, has been turned over to the Shinnecock Indian Nation in Southampton for reburial, police said.The Suffolk County medical examiner's office determined the skull dated back 1,000 to 3,000 years.
