Television CBS zombie pilot?

Among the pilots for new dramatic series that CBS is viewing for giving life sits "Babylon Fields," a pilot about...zombies. Execs describe the show as "'Ordinary People' meets 'Day of the Living Dead.'" The drama series will be slightly comedic in tone and the pilot episode apparently features a story-line where a man is reunited with his deceased wife.

Lindsay Lohan Accused Of Flooding Ex-Boyfriend's Apartment

Lindsay Lohan
Lohan, who lives above Morton's Sierra Towers home in Hollywood, is being held responsible for the flood, which caused $150,000 worth of damage, according to staff at the posh complex claim they gained entry to Lohan's vacant apartment last month after Morton reported the flood - and found "water overflowing in the bathtub."In his report, the security officer wrote, "It seems that they left the faucet on. I turned it off."But the incident report has left Lohan baffled because she claims she was in New York when the flood took place, even though video footage suggests the actress/singer was partying in Los Angeles on the night in question.

Sanjaya Attends Dodger Game, Gets Booed

Star magazine reports that when 'American Idol' finalist Sanjaya Malakar attended game at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles on Saturday (April 14), he was met with an unpleasant reaction from baseball fans when the stadium's cameras were trained on the much maligned reality show star. "He was just sitting there having a good time with his friends, just like a regular person," an eyewitness who was at the game tells the tabloid. "And when the Dodger camera noticed him the camera guy ran over and taped him. Sanjaya's face pops up on the big screen right away. At first he smiled, he seemed to like the attention. But when the entire crowd at the stadium started to boo--and it was loud!--his smile faded a bit and his eyes looked sad. It's like he was trying to keep a fake smile on, but you could tell he was crestfallen. He just kept waving and smiling for a few seconds more then his image went off the screen." - Sanjaya Attends Dodger Game, Gets Booed

Women to self-create

Scientists have grown human sperm cells from bone marrow, it emerged last night. They say this may lead to groundbreaking treatment for thousands of men, including cancer patients left sterile by chemotherapy. But the technique provoked an ethical storm and could soon be jettisoned by the Government over concerns about the safety of using artificial sperm.Critics said the treatment threatened to breach moral boundaries as it would effectively lead to men being made redundant. The technique, which could be adapted to help female infertility by growing eggs in a lab, would raisethe prospect of children being born through entirely artificial means.

GimmeShelter - Cardboard is for boxes

The concept is simple - transform a piece of cardboard no larger than twelve inches on any side into a piece of art. The cardboard is a fitting medium for the cause since it is currently the primary source of warmth and shelter for our world's homeless. We're looking to change that.

If you're able and willing, we're looking for artists to contribute and for galleries (throughout the US, UK, Canada and Europe) who are willing to donate gallery space for a week. We're trying to find a publisher to print a catalog of the works for sale at the shows and at the end of the "tour" the works will be auctioned via eBay. All proceeds from the shows, the books, and the auction will be distributed to non-denominational charities in each city visited.

Super Max’ film to focus on DCU villains

Just weeks after he and Warners envisioned very different takes on the Flash, Goyer sold the studio on an idea that focused on the more villainous side of the DC Universe.“Super Max” is Goyer’s take on supervillain incarceration in the DCU. Revolving around a wrongly convicted Green Arrow being whisked away to the super max prison for out-of-control heroes and villains (where he's forced to face a number of inmates he put there), Goyer says the flick—which he’s developing with writer Justin Marx—isn’t just a Green Arrow film.
