Top 10 Worst Realtor Headshots | Eric Bramlett, Austin Realtor

It's no secret that Realtors love plastering their photos - everywhere. Real estate agents have always done pretty crazy things to set themselves apart from the crowd...often to a fault. In a profession not always know for being, well, professional, it blows my mind what some agents will do. Here are the Top 10 Worst Realtor Photos (as rated by me.) Every photo is from an actual Realtor, on an active website.

Edit your photos! On Flickr! « Flickr Blog

Picnik has been providing online photo editing for a while now. As soon as we saw it, we knew that there was huge potential for us to join together. Rather than Flickr diverting from our speciality to enter a realm we had no (particular) expertise in, the thought of a partnership seemed much more sensible. The Picnik/Flickr collaboration works similarly to other 3rd party services who’ve built additional tools on top of the Flickr API: You’ll need to pass through the step of giving the Picnik service permission to edit and save your photos… It’s a little bit like you’re “installing” Picnik on your Flickr account, but with nothing to download.

Compiz SnowGlobe

So last year we had snow, and we were begging to be able to have things inside the cube. Well that wish was granted this year, and so now we have a Cube SnowGlobe(TM). Um, no, you can’t shake it and make the snowflakes twirl up and down and around and such (Although many users have asked for this feature and b0le says it’s certainly possible). But, we now have a nice snowy landscape and snow … sort of to have as an ambiance in our little cubes :D.

“onecoldhand.com is a project that connects the Pittsburgh community through one unfortunate event – the loss of a glove. This site creates a method for dealing with the conundrum of finding these lost articles. Do you leave it and hope the owner comes back to find it? Do you pick it up? Throw it away? With onecoldhand.com, the abandoned object now becomes a symbol of benevolence and hope."

Chocolate lorry goes to Timbuktu

Andy Pag, of London, and his co-driver John Grimshaw, of Poole in Dorset, were leaving Mr Grimshaw's home town on a cross channel ferry on Friday. They are travelling in a Ford Iveco Cargo lorry powered by fuel that began life as chocolate, in a bid to raise awareness of green fuels. The 4,500 mile (7250km) trip across the Sahara should take about three weeks. The pair will take a small processing unit with them to convert waste oil products into fuel, which they will then donate to an African charity, along with the lorry.

Japanese method to make smelly shoes smell brand new

Shoe Pure 100 シュー・ピュア
in Japan, the folks from Pure Life have created the Shoe Pure 100 シュー・ピュア which solves that problem. When you come home from work or school, simply hang your smelly shoes on the Shoe Pure 100 and and within half an hour they’ll be nice and fresh and ready for another day of use. The Shoe Pure works by drying out fresh sweat with warm air (ozone) through a fan and special cartridge that also disinfects the shoe.

First off, I wanted to take AIR out for a spin and see what it could do. Secondly, I find using the Twitter web site frustrating at times because it doesn't offer up features that I've always felt could be easily added. Hearing 'Messages' Embedded In Noise Could Be Early Sign Of Schizophrenia

During the "babble task," participants listened with headphones to overlapping recordings of six speakers reading neutral texts, which made the words virtually incomprehensible. The participants were asked to repeat any words or phrases that they heard. Only four words--"increase," "children," "A-OK," and "Republican"--were consistently reproduced.Eighty percent of the participants who "heard" phrases of four or more words in length went on to develop a schizophrenia-related illness during times that they were not taking olanzapine, said the lead author, Ralph Hoffman, M.D., associate professor of psychiatry. In contrast, only six percent of those in the study converted to schizophrenia-related illness if the phrases "heard" were less than three words in length.

Keep your eye on the ball - MediaFile

While both men and women focused primarily on Brett’s face when asked to find a picture of him on a baseball site, one of the sexes also fixated on what the researchers coyly termed his “private anatomy.” The revelation that the wandering eyes belonged to the males was embarrassing enough for the men in the audience, but researchers Laura Ruel and Nora Paul had a further humiliation in store. They got the same results when they repeated the experiment with pictures on the American Kennel Club site.
