Bucky Katt is on Pot
Darby Conley's Get Fuzzy is being suspended in a couple of newspaper for its teasing about pot smoking
this week’s story arc on Get Fuzzy. On maybe Tuesday or so, Bucky Katt declared that he was running for president, and began debuting campaign slogans to Rob and Satchel. The running gag is that all of the slogans–supposedly unintentionally on the part of Bucky–are obvious pro-marijuana slogans.

Bush says he didn't intend to insult Democrats
In his speech last Tuesday, Bush declared to a joint session of the U.S. Congress that "I congratulate the Democrat majority." Some Democrats were incensed he did not say "Democratic." The party's proper name is the Democratic Party.Republicans for years have dropped the last two letters of the name as a slight to the party. Bush's prepared text of his speech had the proper name but he misstated it in his address.Bush called it an oversight and said he was "not that good at pronouncing words anyway." He said he was surprised at the level of distrust in Washington.

Will the Muppets finally return to primetime?
a brand new pilot for a Muppet mini-series is being passed around Disney, a spoof on mockumentary series like The Office that has the Muppet gang getting back together to put on a new show after venturing off on their own to find new jobs. That plot actually sounds very similar to The Muppets Take Manhattan. Word has it that the mini-series, if successful, could spawn a brand new primetime Muppet series.

Internet Chucks ".um"
The list of Internet domain names just got shorter. The Internet's key oversight agency decided recently to yank ".um" — for U.S. "minor outlying islands."No one was using it anyhow, and the organization that has run ".um" — the University of Southern California's Information Sciences Institute — no longer wanted to bother. So the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers decided unanimously last week to eliminate it entirely, bringing the list of domains to 264. There are still separate domains for larger U.S. territories, including ".gu" for Guam and ".vi" for the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Animated Tom Bosley Father Gets Home This Summer!
2 years before Tom Bosley became the all-American dad from the '50s in Happy Days (and don't forget that the second season of that finally comes to DVD this April!), he was cast as a voice actor in the title role of the animated series Wait Till Your Father Gets Home. This Hanna- Barbera produced show was aired on CBS each Thursday night at 8:30 Eastern time.Harry Boyle was a typcial dad of the era in this 1972 primetime 'toon, and his wife Irma (Joan Gerber, who among her MANY voice roles was "Freddie the Flute" on H.R. Pufnstuf) kept the kids in line mostly by threatening with their dad's eventual arrival home from his job as the owner of a restaurant supply company. The older kids consisted of Chet (old enough to be out of school, but he's unemployed, living at home, and thought of as a hippie) and Alice (a liberal young lady, overweight, who often clashes with her archly conservative dad).

This $1 is the rare $1 bill that symbolizes the True Meaning of Giving. Galactus!
Galactus is going to be in the movie. There it is. That’s the answer many fans have been wondering ever since 20th Century Fox announced the sequel to 2005’s “Fantastic Four” is going to be called “Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer” instead of “FF2.” After all, you can’t have the Silver Surfer without Galactus, right? Now the question on everyone’s minds is of course, what the hungry, world-devouring master will look like when he arrives on screen on June 15, 2007.

Skier Skis Nude After Losing Bet
WENGEN, SWITZERLAND — Rainer Schoenfelder lost a bet Wednesday, and paid for it by skiing nude down the Lauberhorn. The 29-year-old Austrian skier, who hurt his neck and back in a crash last week, lost a bet with his physiotherapist, who had been treating his injuries. Schoenfelder had vowed to ski naked if his pains had lessened by Wednesday morning.Schoenfelder skied wearing only yellow boots and an orange helmet and gloves, and a photographer snapped a shot of the skier that has been circulated on the Internet."Somehow I didn't notice the photographer," Schoenfelder said. "It was an internal bet and of course the whole thing wasn't planned for the public."I am happy, though, that the pains have eased up and that it was not cold when I honored my debt."

No Show Today
I'm installing and messing around with the new Jokosher audio recording software and it's kinda taking up my time today. Plus I didn't find anything interesting on the net today cuz everyone's talking about that stupid iPod phone. I mean come on 500 bucks and charges for calls and internet connection charges!? Seems a bit unrealistic to me.
