Viacom's MTV to buy Harmonix for $175 mln

NEW YORK, Sept 22 (Reuters) - Viacom Inc.'s MTV Networks said on Friday it will buy Harmonix Music Systems Inc., a maker of music-related video games, for $175 million.Shareholders in Harmonix, developer of the PlayStation 2 game Guitar Hero, may also be eligible for incremental earn-out payments through 2008, MTV said in a statement.

Does this mean the game formats will now consist of reallity shows.
