Oprah gets pwned by Shaq on Twitter
Oprah gets pwned by Shaq on Twitter | Webware - CNET![]()
Your first day on Twitter can be rough. Twittering's still a brand new thing to a lot of people, and a lot of people have Twitterfails. Nobody on Twitter on Friday, though, got as much attention as Oprah, who tweeted for the first time.
Sadly, her inaugural tweet was all in caps. Thankfully, Shaquille O'Neal was there to remind the talk show host that her caps were on. We'd like to congratulate Shaq for having Oprah's back. That's what Twitter friends do for each other.

tweetCC | Publish & license tweets with Creative Commons
tweetCC | Publish & license tweets with Creative Commons![]()
tweetCC started as a conversation on Twitter between Andy Clarke and Brian Suda. Andy wanted to show tweets and avatars for a new book on web design. His publisher needed him to get permissions to republish and that meant asking everyone. This was, not to put too fine a point on it, a pain. Brian agreed. It would be nice if twitter could allow for a CC or other license on your content, then people don't have to ask.

Man Builds Chair That Tweets His Farts, Single-Handedly Justifies Twitter's Existence
Gizmodo - Man Builds Chair That Tweets His Farts, Single-Handedly Justifies Twitter's Existence - Twitter fart chair![]()
Known Gentleman Randy Sarafan decided to make this office chair to help "accurately document and share my life as it happens," which is as admirable a cause as there ever has been to open a Twitter account. The setup is surprisingly complex: A natural gas sensor does the sniffing; an Arduino does the thinking; an XBee wireless module does the communicating; Twitter does the sharing. It's a feat, to be sure.

What is DestroyTwitter?
DestroyTwitter is a compact though robust Twitter application built to run on Mac, Windows, and Linux using Adobe AIR. It consists of a series of canvases that constantly update to keep tweets up-to-date using notifications that appear when a new tweet arrives. DestroyTwitter uses a minimal amount of memory compared to its AIR-based alternatives without sacrificing functionality and performance. As a result, it can easily run in the background as an automated process.

chances are you’ve already tried the music-based social networking service Last.fm at some time. Like a lot of web services it doesn’t give much away about how it works internally. This is fair enough and it’s their right to do that as a company of course but it goes against the principals of Free Culture and Free Software. Now there are plans afoot to create a completely free (as in freedom) alternative called Libre.fm.

Google Docs Gets a Drawing Program
Google Docs Gets a Drawing Program:
"You can try this feature by opening a new Google Docs document and clicking Insert -> Drawing. This will pop up an on-page window with a drawing canvas to which you can add things like lines, text, arrows, or shapes from a small object selection. The editor works very well, and you can flexibly adjust adjust colors, position, and size. Saving is done by hitting the X in the top right (that might be a bit odd, the first time), and then the drawing is integrated in your document (and can be edited once again later on if you want)."

How to Develop Film Using Coffee and Vitamin C!
Photojojo » How to Develop Film Using Coffee and Vitamin C! Srsly!![]()
using coffee to develop film is not something Ansel Adams would do. But it works, it gives your film a distinctive look, and it has a certain MacGuyver-ish flair. Think of it like using a plastic camera- it’s more about having fun than getting technically flawless results.
With most film types, the results will be more contrasty and grainy than regular developer. If you do this with color film (negatives or transparencies), you’ll end up with black-and-white negatives.

I Heart Guts!
I Heart Guts is the brainchild of an anatomically obsessed illustrator who loves internal organs and all they do. Founded in 2005, our little family operation (heh heh..ugh) strives to offer the best in stoopid slogans paired with happy gloppy guts.
The guts grew from a single drawing of a broken heart, after a string of bad hookups, dead-end relationships and bad boyfriends. At the time, I was also doing a lot of drinking, so a sad liver and lung followed. Years later, my wonderful husband wondered, "Why don't you do something with those darned guts?"

The Art of Christian Faur.
Through a novel technique that I have developed, I again find myself working with the familiar form of the crayon.http://www.christianfaur.com/crayons/crayons.html
Because of the three-dimensional nature of the crayons, the individual surface images appear to change form as one moves about the gallery space. The images completely disappear when viewed from close up, allowing one to read the horizontally sequenced crayon text and to take in the beautifully colored crayon tips -- all the while being reminded of that first box of crayons.

Man Vs Machine: Boy Killed Anally When Office Chair Explodes
Man Vs Machine: Boy Killed Anally When Office Chair Explodes![]()
Well, stories don't get much worse than this. A 14-year-old boy in China was killed when his chair exploded, sending chunks of metal into his rectum. The bleeding this caused killed him.The alleged explosion came from the gas cylinder that was in the base of the chair, the part that allowed the user to adjust the seat up and down. The canister gets compressed when you sit on it, but can it actually create enough energy to make the seat cushion explode like that and kill a man? I doubt it, but this is what people are reporting.

Google StreetView kills Bambi
Google StreetView kills Bambi | StreetViewFun![]()
A deer got killed by the Google StreetView car.
Google have removed the images but you can see the images right here below.Google have since explained the incident:
The driver was understandably upset, and promptly stopped to alert the local police and the Street View team at Google. The deer was able to move and had left the area by the time the police arrived. The police explained to our driver that, sadly, this was not an uncommon occurrence in the region — the New York State Department of Transportation estimates that 60,000-70,000 deer collisions happen per year in New York alone — and no police report needed to be filed.
