Add your blog and it lets you create a podcast that reads each post from the site and adds an rss podcast feed to subscribe to.
I was able to do this with my personal blog but there was one post we had here at "Your Daily" of a video we posted that had a french word in the title and it said our blog wasn't in English. So it won't let us set it up.
Trying to fix that but a great idea. I really like it.

KDE's new Plasma netbook interface shines in small places
KDE's new Plasma netbook interface shines in small places - Ars Technica![]()
The KDE netbook project is still in the early prototype stage and will not be ready for the upcoming KDE 4.3 release. Lead Plasma developer Aaron Seigo has listed it in the roadmap for KDE 4.4, which means it could be ready for users in January.
The prototype is an intriguing real-world demonstration of Plasma's versatility and the strength of KDE's architecture. It's also a good example of how creativity and innovation can move Linux beyond traditional desktop paradigms and make it shine in small spaces.
I've been wondering when this was going to happen. I have been stuck using gnome on my netbook for too long. Although from the sound of it I still have a long wait ahead.

Opentape - a free way to make and host your own web mixtape
What is it?Opentape
Opentape is a free, open-source package that lets you make and host your own mixtapes on the web.
Upload songs (via web or FTP), reorder, rename, customize the style, and share what you like on other sites with an embeddable player.
Why?
Sharing your musical taste on the web should be fun and easy. We believe there is no reason it has to stop with the shutdown of a single site, so we've created a free tool to make this possible.
Opentape's creation and design are inspired by Muxtape's success and sleek interface. We were disappointed with its untimely shutdown and wanted the web mixtape movement to continue.

Woman changes name to Princess-Rainbow.com
Woman changes name to Princess-Rainbow.com - UK, News - The Independent:
"A woman from Manchester has become the first person to change her name by Deed Poll to a web domain, according to the Legal Deed Service.
Twenty-four-year-old Claire Forshaw changed her name to Princess-Rainbow.com earlier this week. She had previously been put off changing her name by her boyfriend, 23-year-old Robert Morris, who had tried to dissuade her by claiming it would cost hundreds of pounds.
“I knew that if ever I got the chance I would change [my name] to a web domain, to hopefully become the first. My boyfriend has always told me it cost hundreds of pounds to do, so I just forgot about it,” she told press, adding:
“When I realised it actually cost as little as £10 my boyfriend said that Princess-Rainbow.com was ideal for me because I am mad on rainbows!”"

Film buffs community « filmaster.com
Film buffs community « filmaster.comFilmaster is a new social network for movie fans featuring personalized content and recommendations. And all that free as in beer and as in speech. Filmaster allows you to run your own movie blog in a great domain like you.filmaster.com, rate movies and talk about movies with people whose opinions you care about.
Filmaster is niche by design. We're not even thinking of competing with huge sites like IMDB or RottenTomatoes in terms of number of movies, trailers and pageviews. We're also not going against Flixter -- a MySpace for movies. We chose the hard way. We're creating a place for real movie freaks -- people for who film is not just entertainment. And we want to make Filmaster a place on the web to discuss good movies with people who know what they're talking about.
An open source movie review community site with some great features and I like the interface style. Since my wife runs a theater I think this is something Dexter and I should probably get active on :)
You can follow it's creator Borys Musielakon identi.ca too.

Search Pad (BETA)
Search Pad is a note-taking application that automatically tracks and organizes sites you find on Yahoo! Search to help you complete important tasks such as buying a car or planning a trip. Find out more here.
I am/was a huge fan of Google Notebook. This seems to be the same concept without the browser plugin. It revolves mainly around bookmarking, which was what Google seemed to claim as the downfall of their version.

These days we are inundated with bloated web browsers that overcomplicate our lives. However, there is one eminent exception: IE6.
It has been around since 2001 and is still one of the most powerful and versatile browsers available.
Ok. I'll admit, at first I thought this site was for real. But then for the heck of it I tried to follow the download instructions. :)

Google Unveils a PC Operating System
In a post on its company blog, Google said the operating system would initially be aimed at netbooks, the compact, low-cost computers that have turned the PC world on its head. It said the open-source software, called Chrome OS, would be available in the second half of next year.Google Unveils a PC Operating System - NYTimes.com
“Speed, simplicity and security are the key aspects of Google Chrome OS,” the blog post said. “We’re designing the OS to be fast and lightweight, to start up and get you onto the Web in a few seconds.”
Google has already developed an operating system for mobile phones, called Android. And several manufacturers of netbooks are also using that software.
Google has long promoted a vision of computing in which applications delivered over the Web play an increasingly central role, replacing software that runs on the desktop. In that world, applications run directly inside an Internet browser, rather than atop an operating system, the traditional software that controls most of the operations of a PC.

About licenses, photos and online mobs
About licenses, photos and online mobs | holgr.com![]()
Over the past day there’s been a little “crisis” going on over at FriendFeed. Let me introduce the contenders first:
* Kol Tregaskes, who liked a photo on DeviantArt which made it to his FriendFeed account (on June 19th!) via visualize.us
* “velonka”, the photographer of that photo and model in that photo who noticed the image on July 6th
* The picture on DeviantArt, originally marked as Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial 3.0 LicenseNow, after a few weeks of no action at all, the photographer noticed the photo on FriendFeed and didn’t wait a second to rain down some foul language on Kol:VerothicA: WHY IS MY PHOTO HERE? are you fucvking retarded? remove it now! Its for Deviantart.com members ONLY you asshole!!!! – velonka
No, not some nice asking to take it down or – what my approach would have been – saying thanks for sharing. Full throttle from a stand still which shortly thereafter got her some flack from other commenters. And rightly so.
Only after various posts the lady apparently notices that her photo was posted as Creative Commons and removes that licensing. Of course, too little too late. Starting a conversation like she did, you are just asking for trouble. I’m wondering whether she is writing the people at Google, Microsoft and Yahoo letters in the same language because the photo is showing up there too.

Man upset girlfriend doesn’t look like J-Lo, takes it out on hairdresser.
The assault trial stems from a bizarre series of events in 2006.Salon feud leads to Jade Lacey charge | The Australian
Lacey's then-girlfriend Aleena Shadbina allegedly paid $1600 to Broadbeach hairdresser Phillipe Hadchiti for hair extensions, and later returned wanting a hair dye to look more like Hollywood star J-Lo. Mr Hadchiti said he would not dye the hair but another salon did.
Lacey later returned to Mr Hadchiti's salon after his girlfriend complained about the results of her J-Lo-inspired do.
An argument broke out and Lacey allegedly punched Mr Hadchiti after demanding a refund and trying to take money out of the till.

Mountaineous Inclined House
Mountaineous Inclined House by Nunatak Architectes | design(dot)fr: "Designed by Nunatak Architectes, this amazingly unique house is located in a picturesque valley of Switzerland. Inspired by a mountain, this house is like a huge inclined block – sloping roofs epitomize mountain slopes and the lovely grey color of the house blends in perfectly with the hilly terrain. The most interesting thing is that some walls are made of simple stones that simply gives the entire house a more “eco-friendly” feel. A must-have for those who are looking for a quite getaway from the hectic city life. Isn’t it?"

NYC TAXI DRIVER HAS PASSENGERS CREATE ART WHILE IN CAB
NYC TAXI DRIVER FABIO PERALTA HAS PASSENGERS CREATE ART WHILE IN CAB - New York Post![]()
Fabio Peralta has turned the back seat of his yellow cab into an art studio for his passengers, and has commissioned thousands of works.
As soon as a passenger hops into his Crown Vic, Peralta, a 40-year veteran hack, hands the rider a pen and a stack of computer paper.
"I tell them to create art, any kind of art," he said."I don't care what it is. Whatever comes to their brain, I say."
Passengers often hesitate at first.
But, incredibly, most put down the BlackBerry, pick up the paper and get to work as Peralta zips through and streets.

Comfort Wipe - Now you'll never have to touch a dirty toilet tissue!
Comfort Wipe, The Official Site, As Seen On TV![]()
For over a hundred years we've been using toilet tissues the same old way. Now there's a better way with the extended reach and comfortable to use Comfort Wipe™. It grabs and holds the toilet tissue in perfect postions so you can easily wipe yourself. When you're done, just dispense the soiled tissue right in the toilet with the press of a button. Comfort Wipe™ extends your reach a full 18" while the anotomical design follows the contours of your body for perfect cleaning.
I thought this was a joke when I first saw it.

The Top 10 Awesome Things You Didn't Know About Clint Eastwood
The Top 10 Awesome Things You Didn't Know About Clint Eastwood | Top Movies![]()
Clint Eastwood has become a living monument of Hollywood. He is to film what Chuck Norris is to roundhouse kicks: the founding father and ruling king. His squint alone has the ability to make lesser filmmakers renounce the craft altogether and his gravelly snarl has made plenty of punks reassess the status of their luck. But everyone knows he’s a badass, and everyone knows he’s as talented behind a camera as he is behind the trigger of a .44 Magnum. But there are some things you might not have known about him.

Dr Who lookalike is sent off in a Tardis-style coffin
Dr Who lookalike is sent off in a Tardis-style coffin | Mail Online![]()
A David Tennant lookalike who died in a tragic accident had a time-travelling funeral - to go out just like his Dr Who hero.
Seb Neale, 26, had a coffin like a Tardis time machine complete with blue flashing light for his out-of-this world send-off.
His family replaced sombre funeral music with the Dr Who theme tune and mourners sang along and burst into applause.
More than 200 mourners were greeted with words: 'I'm a time lord ... I'm not a human being. I walk in eternity.' And instead of readings from the scriptures, the service used original scripts from classic Dr Who episodes.

We Are Hunted - The Online Social Networking Music Chart
We Are Hunted - The Online Music ChartWe Are Hunted is the Online Music Chart.
We listen to what people are saying about artists and their music on blogs, social networks like Facebook and MySpace, message boards and forums, Twitter and P2P networks to chart the top songs online everyday.
A new Top of the Pops
In the physical world, charts are built on shipped albums. Online charts have been a simple count of digital downloads. We Are Hunted is different. We discover new music from around the web and detect sentiment, expression and advocacy to understand what people like and dislike.

Hulu iPhone App Coming, and It's "Badass"
Gizmodo - Hulu iPhone App Coming, and It's "Badass" - Iphone hulu![]()
Hulu is developing an iPhone app that'll stream over 3G and Wi-Fi, and it's "badass." It'll hit "within a few months." I've been dreaming of this moment since Joost's app.
30 Rock, Dollhouse, Terminator: Sarah Connor Chronicles, Arrested Development, oh yes. Any hope AT&T has of charging people a monthly fee for mobile TV dies with a Hulu app, especially once ABC jumps onboard and it hits other mobile platforms (which it surely will). If it truly delivers the full Hulu experience—every video with a great UI—the potential awesomeness literally blows my mind.

This suburban Chicago home became famous after it appeared in 1986 movie “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off” and now, it’s up for sale. The mid-century Ferrari house was designed by architects A. James Speyer and David Haid in 1953. Located in Highland Park, Illinois, USA, the property includes four bedrooms, four bathrooms and four more rooms of living space, with panoramic views. In the movie, the 5,300-square-foot house was owned by Ferris Bueller’s friend, Cameron Frye.

Bazooka Joe might get a Movie?!
Bazooka Origins: Joe to Tell Haunting Back Story of One-Eyed Gum Mascot | Movieline![]()
It’s called Bazooka Joe, a script commissioned by Eisner’s Tornante shingle to help pump interest in the Topps-owned brand. It remains to be determined if Mark Hammer’s screenplay will somehow make Bazooka any less stale or preserve its flavor past its current three-minute threshold, but that hardly compromises the fascinating nature of the project. On one hand, as THR notes, the comic adventures of Bazooka Joe and his ragtag gang have plenty of potential family appeal (unless you’re a dentist).

Danger Mouse's Next Album Will Be A Blank CD-R
Gizmodo - Danger Mouse's Next Album Will Be A Blank CD-R - Danger Mouse![]()
Danger Mouse, the amazing mashup artist, producer, and half of Gnarls Barkley, is unable to release his newest album due to legal battles with his label, so he's embracing piracy to get his music heard. After "legal battles," Danger Mouse's new album has been shelved by his label, EMI. But fearful that his work would never be heard, Danger Mouse came up with an idea to get his music out there while at the same time showing his anger at EMI. The album, entitled Dark Night of the Soul, will be sold as a "100+ page book" of photographs inspired by the music and taken by David Lynch, and will include a blank CD-R to be filled with torrented mp3s.
