Myst Online goes open source, fans to make their own worlds![]()
When GameTap shut down the servers for MystOnline: UruLive earlier this year, it was a major disappointment for the small, but dedicated, fan base the game had acquired over the years. Those fans will now have a chance to shape the future of the game, as developer Cyan Worlds has announced that the source code for the title will soon be released, giving fans the ability to mold and update the now-open source game as they see fit.

Although it only lasted three seasons on ABC, "The Greatest American Hero" still has quite a loyal following 25 years after its untimely cancellation. You can't keep a good television superhero down, however, and Ralph, Pam and Bill Maxwell are making a comeback in comic book form.

If I Die A Bacon-Related Death, I'd Like It To Be Because Of This | www.holytaco.com![]()
Who would have thought that simply weaving bacon together like a basket, covering it in cheese, and rolling it up into a cannister looking thing, would be the thing that finally made me so "I don't know if I can eat this." Although, I quickly followed that statement with "I'd like to try and see if I can eat this."

Turning the iPod Touch into a phone | Apple - CNET News![]()
The MP3 player can be transformed into a mobile phone with the help of a free app from Internet telephone company Truphone. The new app allows users with a Wi-Fi connection to make and receive phone calls via voice over IP with other iPod Touch owners, users of the Google Talk's messaging service, and customers of Truphone's Internet telephone service. The company said it expects to add the ability to handle landline calls. The app creates a virtual keyboard on second-generation iPod Touchs to dial calls and requires the addition of a headset and microphone. However, Apple doesn't appear to be too threatened by Truphone; the application is available for free download at Apple's App Store.

RjDj is a music application for the Iphone. It uses sensory input to generate and control the music you are listening to.RjDj is mainly listened to with headphones. Think of it as the next generation of walkman or mp3 player. The listening experience of RjDj is similar to the effects of drugs. Drugs affect our sensory perception, so does RjDj. RjDj is a digital drug which causes mind twisting hearing sensation.

70's photographs: Rock stars at their Parents Houses. Zappa, Clapton, Grace Slick, etc | Noise Addicts music blog audio blog![]()
These pictures are strangely humanizing, showing these rock stars at their parents place. They all seem to have real, honest-to-goodness, “normal” seeming families (well, maybe except for Elton John).
