Feed Polly With Your Breadcrumbs

breadcrumb bird feeder
There's a DIY project making the rounds that's perfect for sharing your bread with your feathered friends. As you can see above, a simple wood shelf has large holes for the crumbs to fall in, which get collected, and directed down a tube that sails straight to a bird feeder.

I Heart Guts!

I Heart Guts!
I Heart Guts is the brainchild of an anatomically obsessed illustrator who loves internal organs and all they do. Founded in 2005, our little family operation (heh heh..ugh) strives to offer the best in stoopid slogans paired with happy gloppy guts.
The guts grew from a single drawing of a broken heart, after a string of bad hookups, dead-end relationships and bad boyfriends. At the time, I was also doing a lot of drinking, so a sad liver and lung followed. Years later, my wonderful husband wondered, "Why don't you do something with those darned guts?"

Get a Batman BatPhone

When there was trouble in Gotham City on the campy 1960s "Batman" TV show, Police Commissioner James Gordon and Police Chief Miles O'Hara used a red hotline phone to call Batman, who was really the civic-minded billionaire Bruce Wayne.

Open Office Easter Egg: Play Space Invaders in Calc

Calc
Finding an Easter egg in movies is usually a cool thing, but finding them in software is even cooler. Today we will look at the hidden game in the Open Office Spreadsheet program Calc.Open up a new Calc Spreadsheet and enter =GAME("StarWars") into any of the cells and hit enter. Make sure and type in the capital letters as shown to get it to work. The easiest would be to copy the text above and paste it into a cell.

And he has a number of very exciting plans for improving the JPG experience, which you'll hear about soon. In addition to his understanding of and passion for everything JPG, Seth is a big photo nerd like the rest of us.

The Art of Christian Faur.

The Art of Christian Faur.
Through a novel technique that I have developed, I again find myself working with the familiar form of the crayon.
Because of the three-dimensional nature of the crayons, the individual surface images appear to change form as one moves about the gallery space. The images completely disappear when viewed from close up, allowing one to read the horizontally sequenced crayon text and to take in the beautifully colored crayon tips -- all the while being reminded of that first box of crayons.

Wizard of Oz Hanging REVEALED

YouTube - Wizard of Oz Hanging REVEALED

Apparently this was a big topic of debate, but it's the first I've heard of it.
It was said the thing in the background was a "munchkin" hanging himself.
But this video disproves that for me.

Twisten.FM :: Listen to Twitter

Twisten.fm
(pronounced TWISS-en-dot-eff-em) is a mashup that crawls Twitter for tweets about music. It then takes those tweets and throws in a play button so that you can listen to the song being talked about. Way cool huh?

Man Vs Machine: Boy Killed Anally When Office Chair Explodes

Well, stories don't get much worse than this. A 14-year-old boy in China was killed when his chair exploded, sending chunks of metal into his rectum. The bleeding this caused killed him.The alleged explosion came from the gas cylinder that was in the base of the chair, the part that allowed the user to adjust the seat up and down. The canister gets compressed when you sit on it, but can it actually create enough energy to make the seat cushion explode like that and kill a man? I doubt it, but this is what people are reporting.

Google StreetView kills Bambi

A deer got killed by the Google StreetView car.
Google have removed the images but you can see the images right here below.

Google have since explained the incident:

The driver was understandably upset, and promptly stopped to alert the local police and the Street View team at Google. The deer was able to move and had left the area by the time the police arrived. The police explained to our driver that, sadly, this was not an uncommon occurrence in the region — the New York State Department of Transportation estimates that 60,000-70,000 deer collisions happen per year in New York alone — and no police report needed to be filed.
